Common types of Boom Lifts at Work
The biggest boom lifts in Australia have a working height of 43m!, you will need a Worksafe WP Licence to operate any boom lift with a platform height over 11m, or an EWPA Yellow Card with the category "BL if the platform height is under 11m.
Common types of Vertical Lifts at Work
The main feature of a vertical lift is one arm that pushes the platform straight up, you will not find a jib arm on a vertical lift. Vertical lifts come as self propelled or push around, generally lighter in weight than a scissor lift and can generally only be used indoors. You will need a EWPA Yellow Card with the category "VL to operate a vertical lift. Some models of Vertical Lifts can reach up to 15m working height.

Trailer Mounted boom lifts with a platform height of under 11m you will need the EWPA Yellow Card with the category "TL’, over 11m a Worksafe "WP Licence.
